Product Description
Dexamethasone is a potent synthetic glucocorticoid with low mineralocorticoid activity. Dexamethasone has ten to twenty times the anti-inflammatory activity of prednisolone at an equivalent molar dose. Corticosteroids may decrease the immune response. Indeed, they inhibit capillary dilation, leukocyte migration and phagocytosis. Glucocorticoids have an effect on metabolism by increasing gluconeogenesis. Dexamethasone induces parturition in ruminants if the fetus is alive.
After administration of the product intramuscularly, dexamethasone is absorbed rapidly, resulting in a rapid and short-acting response. T max in cattle, goats, horses, pigs, dogs and cats is reached within 30 minutes after intramuscular administration. The T? (half-life time) varies depending on the species between 5 and 20 hours. The bioavailability after intramuscular administration is approximately 100%.

Indication
Acetone anaemia, allergies, arthritis, bursitis, shock, and tendovaginitis in calves, cats, cattle, dogs, goats, sheep and swine.
Unless abortion or early parturition is required, administration of Dexathason injection during the last trimester of gestation is contra-indicated.
Administration to animals with an impaired renal or heart function.
Osteoporosis.
Dosage and usage
Intravenous or intramuscular use.
Equine, Camel, cattle, goats, pigs 0.04 to 0.10 mg / kg (4 to 10 ml / 100 kg)
Dogs, cats 0.05 to 0.10 mg / kg (0.5 to 1 ml / 10 kg)
Precaution
(1) It is forbidden for female animals in the early and late pregnancy.
(2) Animals with severe liver dysfunction, osteomalacia, fracture treatment period, wound repair period and vaccination period are prohibited.
(3) Strictly grasp the role and use to prevent abuse.
(4) For bacterial infection, it should be used together with antibacterial drugs.
